虽然微型博客Twitter去年9月就已在网站上推出购买按钮“Buy”，但一直未进行大规模推广。消息人士周三透露，Twitter当前正考虑与加拿大电子商务软件开发商Shopify、以及其它电子商务软件公司进行合作，把“Buy”按钮推广给更多的商户。

据悉，单是Shopify目前在美国便拥有约10万商户，使用该公司的软件运营自己的网店。通过与Twitter的合作，这些商户便能够使用Shopify软件在Twitter消息中销售自己的商品。截至目前，Twitter与Shopify发言人均对此报道未予置评。

Twitter、Facebook和Pinterest去年均在平台中植入了购买按钮“Buy”，以尝试着通过庞大的受众群体以及利用用户通过平台购买商品的兴趣，获得新营收来源。

不过自推出“Buy”按钮至今，上述三大平台一直没有、也无力完全与所有希望在各自平台上销售商品的商户直接进行整合。鉴于此，他们转向与Shopify之类的公司进行合作，寻求在电商业务上取得突破。Pinterest目前正在同Shopify以及基于云计算的电子商务解决方案提供商Demandware进行合作，后者目前在为一些大品牌和零售商运营网店。Facebook目前也在同Shopify进行独家合作，测试该公司的购买按钮“Buy”。在Twitter去年推出购买按钮“Buy”时，该公司选择了与小型电子商务软件提供商Fancy和Gumroad进行合作。

不过选择与Shopify进行合作，并不意味着这些平台的电商举措就能够取得成功。目前尚未证实人们是否希望在这些社交平台上购物，也没有证实是否所有的商户都希望在社交媒体平台上销售商品。在这些平台上没有太多追随者的小型商户，可能会被迫借助广告来更广范围的推销自己的产品。

由票务网站Ticketmaster前首席执行官纳桑·哈巴德（Nathan Hubbard）率领的Twitter电商团队，一直在探索多种途径在平台上更显著的展示销售的商品。消息人士称，Twitter在今年6月已推出了产品页，目前正在从事其它更新，以让用户更好的发现正在Twitter平台上出售的商品。（明轩）
